Simply designed, artfully innovated.

We began the process with a mood board. Looking at the design elements within Dwell magazine, we found that natural materials and simple mechanics are often used. Clean lines and curves are also very prominent.

A ceramic and bamboo toaster with ceramic plate heating system. Ceramic heating allows for more evenly distributed heat and control while the bamboo exterior insulates the toaster from becoming too hot. The toaster also has a plate that acts as a crumb tray and a serving dish. Instead of the traditional 2 or 4 slot toaster, we decided 3 was a better number because it leaves a left over slice and sharing is a beautiful thing.

Ceramic plate heating system and single dial mechanism for a simpler experience.

The Dwell toaster uses ceramic heating technology (commonly used in hair dryers) for a quicker and more even cook. A ceramic warming plate keeps finished toast 'toasty' while additional slices are prepared.

An intuitive, all-in-one dial lowers the toast and helps users visualize cooking time.
